General Questions

Do I need prior biking experience?
Our tours are designed for all skill levels! If you know how to ride a bike comfortably, you’ll be good to go.
How long is the bike tour?
Our tours last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the route, pace of the group, and the particular tour you book.
What’s included in the tour?
Your tour includes a high-quality bike (electric or standard, depending on your selection), a helmet, a knowledgeable guide, and plenty of great views and fun facts about Santa Barbara!
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes! We highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot, especially during summer.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle. We provide helmets and bikes.

What kind of bikes do you provide?
On our Ebike Tour we offer electric bikes (e-bikes) both throttle and pedal assist options from a fleet of over 70 electric bikes. For the city tour you can choose between a 7-speed cruiser or an 18-speed hybrid bike. We have three bike mechanics on staff and have the highest quality best maintained rental fleet in town.
Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, you can bring your own bike and will receive a small discount for groups of 3 or more, but please let us know in advance.
Do you provide helmets?
Yes, we provide sanitized helmets for all riders, and wearing one is required for safety.

Where does the tour start and end?
Most of our tours start and end from our shop in Santa Barbara. Exact details will be provided upon booking.
What if I’m late?
Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in. If you’re running late, give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
What if the weather is bad?
We operate in light rain, but if conditions are unsafe, we will contact you to reschedule or provide a refund. This only occurs a couple times a year because after all this SoCal; we barely know what rain is.
Can kids join the tour?
Yes! We offer kid-friendly bikes, trailers for younger riders, and kids seats. Contact us in advance to make arrangements.
Is there a weight or height limit for the bikes?
For e-bikes, the weight limit is 275 lbs. Riders should be at least 4’10” tall for a comfortable ride. We do have one or two kids ebikes that fit 4’6 to 4’11 for ages 10 years old and up. Due to the low inventory on kids ebikes make sure you get that bike reserved if you need one.
What if I've seen portions of Santa Barbara and don't want to revisit them?
We can do route changes based on your preference for the private ebike tours. If you book a group tour and others are on that tour we need to run our typical tour with our normal stops. If you book the private tour and don’t want to see certain things or you really want to see something in particular; make sure you mention it to your guide when you arrive so they can adjust the route.

What if I have never ridden an e-bike before?
No problem! Our guides will give you a quick tutorial before we start the ride. You must be able to comfortably ride a traditional bike though; the ride translates easily over to an electric bike. And if it’s your first time on an electric bike we suggest our pedal assist bikes as they’re very intuitive and smooth. If you don’t know how to ride a traditional bike; please don’t book the tour.
Do I need to be in good shape for the tour?
Our e-bike tours are very easy and enjoyable for all fitness levels. If you choose a traditional bike, there will be a bit more effort involved.
What if I need to stop or take a break?
Our guides adjust the pace based on the group, so feel free to let them know if you need a break. If you feel you’ll need a lot of breaks or want to ride extremely slow it’s best to book our private tour and we’ll go at your pace; then we;re not holding a group up.

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance. Last-minute cancellations within the final 24 hours will be charged in full.
Can I reschedule my tour?
Yes! Just contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
